Arita Asialink 2014

During 2014, Kenji was a grateful recipient of an Asialink Arts Residency Program supported by Arts Queensland, which made it possible for him to spend 12 weeks working in Arita, Kyushu, the birthplace of porcelain in Japan. There Kenji worked with Kourakugama (kiln) and a number of local craftspeople, designers and artists to explore new directions in his ceramic practice and professional development. Kenji’s residency in Arita has undoubtedly had a significant impact on his practice and has contributed to a growing relationship between Australia and Arita.
